Tottenham Hotspur failed to win against Everton after a 0-0 draw in the 11th week of the Premier League at Goodison park, Sunday (7/11). This match became Antonio Conte’s first match with the London club in the Premier League.
Everton gave the threat first in the sixth minute through Ben Godfrey’s shot from outside the penalty box. However, Godfrey’s efforts were caught by Hugo Lloris.
At the beginning of this first half Everton took the attitude of continuing to press Tottenham. In the eighth minute it was defender Michael Keane’s turn to try to score with a header, but it was wide.
Tottenham counterattacked in the 18th minute through Lucas Moura’s shot, but could be blocked by the Everton defense. Harry Kane’s effort one minute later was also blocked by an Everton player.

The Toffees continue to put pressure on Tottenham. However, shots from Demarai Gray and Anthony Gordon could be blocked by the Tottenham defense.
Tottenham managed to dominate possession of the ball. However, Antonio Conte’s team struggled to create goal opportunities.
In the 88th minute Giovani Lo Celso had a chance to score. But Lo Celso’s long-range shot just hit the post.
Everton had to play with 10 men in the 90+2 minute after Mason Holgate was sent off for a foul on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Despite the superior number of players, Tottenham still could not score goals. The final score for the Everton vs Tottenham duel was 0-0.
Conte’s arrival this week has not brought Tottenham into the Premier League. The draw made Tottenham failed to win in the Premier League in three consecutive matches. Previously Tottenham lost to West Ham United and Manchester United.
