Despite Defeating Costa Rica, Germany Still Failed to Qualify!

The continuation of the 2022 World Cup from Group E will bring Costa Rica against Germany.

The match which was held on Friday (02/12/2022) ended for Germany to win with a score of 2-4.

Four goals for Germany were scored by Serge Gnabry in the 10th minute, Kai Havertz in the 73′ and 85′ minutes, and Niclas Fullkrug in the 89th minute.

Meanwhile, Costa Rica’s two goals back were scored by Yeltsin Tejeda in the 58th minute and Manuel Neuer’s own goal in the 70th minute.

This result is still not able to bring Germany to qualify for the last 16.

Germany was only able to finish in third place under Japan and Spain.

In this match Germany must qualify if they want to qualify for the round of 16.

With a note that Japan cannot win against Spain.

Germany appeared determined to carve possession of the ball reaching sixty-nine percent for ninety minutes and took thirty-two shots at goal with eleven of them on target.

Meanwhile, Costa Rica was only able to control the ball as much as thirty-one percent and took seven shots at goal with five of them on target.

In the first half, Germany immediately attacked the Costa Rica defense.

The result was in the 10th minute ‘Serge Gnabry managed to score a goal against Costa Rica.

However, Costa Rica was able to steal a goal through Yeltsin Tejeda in the 58th minute;

Instead of scoring a goal, Germany had to concede another goal after Manuel Neuer committed suicide in the 70th minute.

Not long after, Germany was able to equalize through Kai Havertz in the 73rd minute.

Keylor Navas had to be willing to have his goal scored again by Kai Havertz in the 85th minute and changed the scoreboard to 2-3 for Germany’s lead.

Finally Germany was able to lock in victory after Niclas Fullkrug was able to score in the 89th minute.

The score ended 2-4 in favor of Germany until the long whistle sounded.

This victory is meaningless because it has not been able to lead Germany to qualify for the last 16.
