Tennis News: After the cancellation of Citi Open, Washington, the ATP and USTA as the organizers of the US Open will feel a little tense to hold the US Open.
Diego Schwartzman World number 13 criticized the ATP for the communication method they used. He stated that he found out about canceling Citi Open from Twitter.
However, during times like today, ATPs may have fewer sources and this puts them in trouble, because tennis players complain they don’t get proper news from ATP.
“For me, the ATP is currently lacking in communication. “We practically never knew of them for the first time than from social media about the decisions they made, for example the cancellation of the tournament in Washington,” Diego Schwartzman told FM Millennium.
The tournament’s cancellation in Washington is expected to occur. The ATP in their statement predicted that to us. They told us that it was quite complicated because the time for all permits and all the things needed to hold. The tournament did not also reach the meeting point but we found it all through Twitter and after 20 minutes then they appear to confirm that.

Schwartzman called the method used by the ATP “a crazy thing”. He criticized the ATP for their lack of communication and how they handled the US Open. He expressed his concern about the US Open, but he stated that he had to compete because it was his job. But in his opinion, certain protocols and conditions were considered crazy.
“The way they communicate and the way they handle things, for example the US Open, is pretty crazy. In my case, I will compete, because I have to, that’s my job. But the conditions are absolutely unbelievable, like running a Grand Slam after seven months with only one member of the team, locked in a hotel for 21 days without being able to go anywhere, it’s all too much, “said Schwartzman.
