Erling Haaland, His inspiring Figure and Forbidden Food

Erling Haaland always attracts the attention of the world’s football before matches, including the Liverpool vs Manchester City duel. The big Liverpool vs Man City party will take place on Sunday (10/16/2022) at Anfield Stadium in the 11th week of the Premier League stage.

Interest in Erling Haaland cannot be separated from the striker’s performance on the green grass. His performances always make surprises with amazing goals. Behind his really promising performances on the pitch, he has a “forbidden love” relationship with Turkish cuisine, Kebab.

His love for kebabs had to be hindered because he was on a strict diet to maintain his performance on the pitch. Nonetheless, he can’t stand the temptation given by the appearance and taste of the Kebab. “I like kebabs or pizza kebabs,” he said with sparkling eyes. “I really liked it, I have to admit it. It was the best, but I never ate it,” he explained to Sky Sports.

Besides kebabs, behind his prowess on the field there are figures who inspire him. They are:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

In Erling Haaland’s interview with Sky Sports, the Norwegian striker admits Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden) is his idol. “Besides my father (Alf-Inge Haaland), maybe he is Zlatan Ibrahimovic,” Haaland told Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville. Haaland and Ibrahimovic at first glance have similarities. One of which is his tall posture. In addition, both are the type of player who can score goals from difficult angles.

Mario Balotelli

Apart from Ibrahimovic, Haaland did not hesitate to mention the name of the badass striker from Italy, Mario Balotelli. Balotelli has also been in uniform for Manchester City. However, his actions that often irritated the coach made Balotelli leave. In Haaland’s life, Balotelli is someone who can replace him as a penalty taker.

“Yes, of course I would say it’s me (who will take the penalty) because I’m very confident,” said the 22-year-old striker. “If not me, there’s a good one. I think it’s Mario Balotelli, because he’s probably the best penalty taker in my opinion.”

Kevin De Bruyne

Then, if it’s on an island and only three people Haaland can invite, Kevin De Bruyne is one of the three people on it. “I think Kevin De Bruyne will help (assist) me well,” he said with a chuckle. While the other two are Haaland’s father and mother who always serve Norwegian food with the best taste.
