FC Nantes targets PSG stars Lucas Moura

French Ligue 1 clubs FC Nantes have been handed a major push in their pursuit of PSG winger Lucas Moura, according to reports in Paris.

It’s understood Nantes President Waldemar Kita is keen on signing Lucas in the January transfer market but to attract the Brazilian international seems to be an impossible mission for his club.

The 25 year-old winger, has only made five appearances in France Ligue 1 this term and he is struggling for opportunities in PSG first squad following the high-profile summers of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

According to reports, Kita had then thought of Lucas, already little played at the beginning of the season at PSG. The Canaries sent an offer to PSG about a possible loan option to buy Moura, but there is a little bit of problem because the player has no intention of leaving the club, and his current position is that he would rather sit in the stands for the rest of the 2017/18 season on an excellent salary.

Moura joined PSG with 40 million euro in 2013. He scored just once goal and one assist for PSG this season. He allowed by PSG to go this January if any club ready to pay up 30 million euro.

Speaking to media on October, Moura told he is happy to be at PSG at this the moment and focus on Champion League return.

“Now I eat by following rules. I don’t eat pizzas and barbecue food anymore, despite how much I miss them.” Moura said.

“But I am concentrating on improving my physical performance. Whatever the situation with the national team, that is Tite’s decision.

“I need to concentrate on improving at PSG. The season began in a difficulty way for me, but my aim is to win back my starting place and the great moments that I had last year.” Moura added.

Nantes is currently at fifth place in Ligue 1 table standings with 33 points after playing 19 games this season. Caludio Ranieri, meanwhile, told wins may not be enough during the second part of the season to keep with the top of the standings and he would be ready to make an effort to recruit an offensive part.
