Ferrari will unveil new Design: Binotto

Vettel

Ferrari had strong comeback last season after summer break and stunned its competitors.

The hopes had doomed for Ferrari at the start when Mercedes aced victory after victory.

However, the Italian Sceduria managed to perfrom as per fans expectations. It managed to finish fouth and fifth on drivers’ standing with Charles Leclerc outperforming its team mate Sebastian Vettel, who own four world titles.

Lewis Hamilton won sixth F1 world title while struggling in the second half of the season to remain dominant in different races.

Mattia Binotto, Ferrari team principal, is positive for 2020. The team will be approaching this season differently which will provide them with an advantage over the title defender Brit.

Last year, Ferrari remained dominant on straights but corners discouraged its overall ambitions of remaining on top. This year team will also be focusing on the corners to defeat Mercedes and Red Bull.

Ferrari admitted the downside of the decision that it will likely put their advantage of dominating straights at risk. But it will help with more down force in the corners.

“Our car next year is aiming for a lot more downforce,” Binotto said.

” And by having more downforce, [it will certainly produce] more drag.

“We are not expecting to be as far[ahead] on the straight as we have been. ”

Binotto also added that team had also worked on different aspects of upgrading during winter break.

“We have changed, by quite a lot, our power unit, in terms of architecture, the cylinder, he said. ”

Ferrari F1 2020

Ferrari has announced February 11, 2020 for unveiling the new car.

But reports surfaced that Ferrari is struggling with the new aerodynamic design. The reports suggests that wind tunnel testing results doesn’t compliment the design data.

Auto Bild reported that the data of wind tunnel testing showed no co-relation and have arose serious concerns.

The reports claims that technical team, simulation experts and wind tunnel engineers, is struggling with data co-relation and has been unsuccessful in finding the origin of variations.

Ferrari is short of time in resolving these issues as the season approaches. The pre-season testing will start in Barcelona and will be commenced between 19 and 28 February.

The season will start with Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 15.
