Four Big Matches Await UFC Fans in June

UFC will present four hot duels in June. Three agendas in June awaits UFC fans are UFC 302 (June 1), UFC Fight Night (June 22), and UFC 303 (June 29). Here are four hot UFC fights in June:

  1. Islam Makhachev vs Dustin Poirier (UFC 302)

Since taking the lightweight belt from Charles Oliveira, Makhachev has defended the title twice. Both of them were against Alexander Volkanovski, who is actually a featherweight champion.

Makhachev will face a more serious challenge because Dustin Poirier will appear as an opponent at UFC 302.

This is an opportunity for him to challenge the title due to in previous matches he had lost twice to Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira.

However, if Poirier loses this match, his chances of winning the title will probably be closed.

  1. Sean Strickland vs Paulo Costa (UFC 302)

Another big match at UFC 302 is the duel between Sean Strickland and Paulo Costa. This match will pave the way for the two fighters to fight for the middle class title.

Strickland is the figure who stopped Israel Adesanya’s dominance in the middle class. But unfortunately he lost to Dricus du Plessis in a duel to defend his title at UFC 297.

On the other hand, Paulo Costa’s record is currently bad. He has lost three of four duels. Even though previously he created an impressive record of 13-0 in mixed martial arts events.

  1. Khamzat Chimaev vs Robert Whittaker (UFC Fight Night)

Khamzat Chimaev has not had the opportunity to fight for a title at the UFC. Even though he has recorded seven consecutive wins since joining UFC.

Chimaev, who is currently ranked 11th on the list of challengers, will fight against Robert Whittaker who is ranked third. A win over Whittaker could bring Khamzat Chimaev closer to a title fight.

  1. Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler (UFC 303)

The Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler duel is a duel that will interest many people. The reason is that this is McGregor’s first duel after a three-year hiatus.

Apart from that, McGregor, whose body weight is now getting bigger, will compete in the welterweight class which is considered the most ideal for McGregor.

McGregor’s return is obviously big news. During this time, he was a huge source of audience and revenue for the UFC. Even though his fighting record is relatively bad in the last few matches, McGregor’s figure is still extraordinary and is eagerly awaited by many people.

Michael Chandler also guarantees that the duel will be fierce and interesting. Even though Chandler often suffered defeats in duels against top lightweight fighters such as Oliveira, Gaethje and Poirier, all of Chandler’s duels were fierce.
