Ibrahimovic wants Manchester United to win the Premier League title this season

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic revealed he is targeting the Premier League title this season before thinking of treating the exit.

Ibrahimovic announced that he is ready to return to the Old Trafford after recovering from a serious cruciate knee ligament injury. The 36-year-old striker sees the end of the tunnel and must return to the ground with the Red Devils before the end of this season.

On the occasion of an interview conducted by Thiery Henry for Sky Sports, Ibrahimovic has just given a layer this Friday. That his fans are convinced, the Swedish star has lost none of his ambitions, nor his ego.

On the contrary, hearing gossips predict the end of his career and bothering with the limits of his body have even made United more motivated than ever.

“I’m coming back to finish what I started with all tat I achieved during the first season. We won three titles, this end was not the one I wanted,” Ibrahimovic said to Thierry Henry in an interview.

“The target is the Premier League. It’s my target to finish. Everything I started in my first season, we will finish it in the second one.

“I had never had such a serious injury and all the people around were saying ‘it’s over or it’s too old’. That pushed me to come back soon. The injury gave me energy and a goal. The injury made things easy for me. I had one goal, it was to come back and replay a match.” Ibrahimovic added.

United is currently at second place in the Premier League table standings with 23 points, 5 points behind Manchester City after playing 10 games so far. They remain in the running for the title but they have lost ground by chaining two games before winning a 1-0 home match against Tottenham Hotspur on last weekend.

“I will leave as I have arrived, I will not leave in limp. I will leave in my own way, the one chosen. Even I have to walk on the water, I’ll do it.” Ibrahimovic said.

The return of the Swedish should intervene at the right time and even if he is mysterious about his future, however United’s fans believe he will end his career in happy ending.
