Italian League Results: Pirlo Debut, Juventus Wins Convincingly

Juventus started the 2020/2021 Italian League with a 3-0 victory over Sampdoria in a match which took place at the Allianz Stadium, Monday (21/9).

Coach Andrea Pirlo put several new players as starters in this match such as Dejan Kulusevski and Weston McKennie.

Danilo opened the opportunity for Juventus in the 4th minute, kicking from outside the penalty box was still soaring.

In the fourth minute, Lorenzo Tonelli violated Aaron Ramsey when he was about to stab the visitors’ defense. The referee did not hesitate to reward Toneli with a yellow card for his violation.

Six minutes into the match, Danilo tries his luck with a shot from outside the area. It’s just that, the kick of the former Manchester City player has not met the right target. Juventus took control of the game by controlling the game with the possession ball reaching 70% in the first ten minutes of the match.

Ronaldo got the first chance in the 10th minute with a left footed shot from inside the penalty box which the goalkeeper could still block.

Three minutes later Ronaldo’s effort to penetrate the Sampdoria penalty box is blocked, but Kulusevski uses a wild ball to make his debut for Juventus after being bought from Parma.

Ronaldo has a chance in the 24th minute. Receiving feedback from Aaron Ramsey, the former Real Madrid player’s finish only hit the bar. Ten minutes later, Ramsey’s bait failed to be converted into a goal by Ronaldo again. Widened finishing.

Ronaldo failed to score the opening goal of the season and Juventus still maintained a narrow lead until the first half was over.

In the second half, Sampdoria banged on the Juventus defense several times. Poor performance in the first half.

Il Samp’s chances are not to change the numbers on the scoreboard. It was Juventus who widened the lead through Leonardo Bonucci, who shot the ball fast from close range in the 78th minute following a corner.

Two minutes before normal time ended, Ronaldo grabbed Juventus’ third goal. His right foot kick completed Ramsey’s bait.

The 3-0 score for Juventus marked the start of the reigning champions with the new coach. The achievement of 3 points brought Juventus to second place in the 2020/2021 Serie A standings. The first position in the standings is occupied by Genoa, who are on goal difference.
