Ducati Lenovo Team rider Jack Miller will get on a Ducati Panigale V4 R this weekend to take part in the final round of the Australian Superbike Championship at The Bend Motorsport Park.
The Australian rider who finished fourth in the MotoGP world championship this year, he just loves racing and that is his passion and his life.
“We do a lot of races all year round, but I like racing. It’s the only thing I like to do, so every chance I get to race I take it with both hands. I especially like to race in other championships because it’s a lot of fun there and there’s less pressure than when I normally start in MotoGP.” Miller said.
“It will be really nice to be able to compete against Josh Hook (who ridees for the Penrite Honda Racing Team) as we both live in Europe and meet often.
“Hooky has also come back to Australia especially for this race weekend, so there’s been some rivalry and craziness over the past few weeks.
“Overall, I’m just looking forward to racing hard with some of the other riders like Troy Herfoss and Oli Bayliss. There are some very strong drivers in the championship and I am sure there will be hard driving in both races on Sunday.” Miller added.
Miller must be looking forward to that round with special feeling and extra attention. And he is already thinking about next season’s MotoGP championship.
“This is the only chance I’ll get to race in Australia this year, so I’m super excited to be here at the ASBK. But I also can’t wait to get back to Phillip Island and race in MotoGP in front of the home crowd again.” Miller said.
“Two years of not racing at Phillip Island is just way too long. I certainly can’t wait to be there again and I hope to put on another show like in 2019 when I came third. That was definitely a special day.” he added.
