Jose Mourinho Celebrates AS Roma’s Winning Goal

Jose Mourinho is again making a sensation. This time the Portuguese coach celebrated AS Roma’s victory like a happy child when he secured victory over Sassuolo on Monday (13/9/2021) early morning hrs.

In the third match of the 2021-2022 Italian League, Roma managed to win 2-1 over Sassuolo. Roma could only ensure victory in the 90 + 1 minute through a goal created by Stephan El Shaarawy.

Suddenly when El Shaarawy scored, Mourinho was seen running for joy and approached the player. All Roma and Mourinho players celebrated the goal in the final minutes of the match.

For Mourinho, El Shaarawy’s goals were very meaningful for his career. Because the Roma vs Sassuolo match is his 1000th match as a professional coach.

Of course Mourinho hopes to achieve sweet results in his 1000th game as a coach. All of Mourinho’s wishes to celebrate the victory in the 1000th match almost failed if El Shaarawy, who entered in the 70th minute, didn’t score.

However, in the end Mourinho managed to taste victory in his 1000th game during his tenure as a professional coach. From 1000 matches, Mourinho managed to pick 640 victories and successfully lifted 33 championship trophies.

Interestingly, before the Roma vs Sassuolo match took place, Mourinho told his players to take it easy. He admitted that he did not really care about his 1000th game as a coach.

It seems that Mourinho deliberately said that so as not to burden Tammy Abraham and his friends more. However, Mourinho was afraid of failing to win against Sassuolo.

That’s why when El Shaarawy’s shot put Roma 2-1 ahead in the 90+1 minute, Mourinho suddenly ran and celebrated the goal with the other AS Roma players. Mourinho admits to running like a 12 year old kid.

“I told a lie. I have told my team that the 1000th game is not something that is important to me. However, actually I am really scared if I lose, “said Mourinho, as reported by Bleacher Report, Monday (13/9/2021).

“Luckily, we won and I ran like a kid today because I really was like a 12 year old and not like a 58 year old,” he concluded.
