Jose Mourinho responded cynically to questions about Zinedine Zidane. Mourinho asked the journalist to ask the colleague who made the issue.
Mourinho was on the verge following Manchester United’s poor start to the season. In his last three matches, Manchester United never even won including when they were beaten 1-3 by West Ham United and were eliminated in the English League Cup. Many Manchester United fans voiced #JoseOut and #MourinhoOut in the Twitter line, after their favorite team lost at West Ham United’s headquarters. They want Jose Mourinho to be immediately fired. Moreover, The Red Devils are still scattered in tenth place in the seventh week of the Premier League
Not only about poor performance, Mourinho was also highlighted because of his deteriorating relationship with several players including Paul Pogba. Until now, the dispute between Pogba and Mourinho has not subsided. Both were caught on camera not greeting each other during training sessions ahead of MU against Valencia.
Naturally, the future is now being speculated with several names appearing in the public. One of the strongest rumored will shift Mourinho is Zidane who is now unemployed after leaving Real Madrid. With his performance for three seasons in Madrid, Zidane certainly became a suitable candidate for Mourinho’s successor.
This could disturb Mourinho and the preparation of the team to face Valencia in the Champions League. Therefore, Mourinho did not want to discuss the issue that Zidane had been contacted by MU. “Just ask the person who made the news, he wrote it. Ask him,” Mourinho said in a press conference on Monday (1/10/2018) yesterday.
“Instead of asking me, it’s better to just ask him. He wrote it, you have to ask it,” he continued as quoted by FourFourTwo. Regarding the news about his dismissal, Mourinho answered like this. “No, I don’t think so (afraid of being fired).”
Jose Mourinho got a lot of pressure as Manchester United dropped. He admits his team is not in an ideal situation ahead of the match with Valencia in the Champions League. But, the players enthusiastically practiced. Despite the pressure, he didn’t look in crisis in the Champions League press conference session.
