Juventus interest in Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey

Juventus are interested in bringing in midfielder Adrien Ramsey from Paris Saint-Germain and Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal in 2019, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Juventus’s manager Massimilliano Allegri could finally land Rabiot next year when he will be available for free transfers. The French international is in the final year of this contract and has so far yet to agree a new one.

Rabiot has been linked with a move to Barcelona since last summer. Ernesto Valverde has made no secret of the fact that he thinks his current crop of central midfielders are clowns, and speculation abounded that he was set to further boost their collective confidence by signing a 23-year-old midfielder.

Rabiot and his mother Veronique, who serves as his agent, are due to meet with PSG chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi after the Trophee des Champions in Shenzen, China, with improved terms not expected to be difficult to agree upon.

“My contract is expiring in June 2019, but PSG have an option to extend it with one year. I think they will take up the option. We’ll see what happens.” Rabiot said.

The Bianconeri are the masters of snapping up stars for free like Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Patrice Evra, Daniel Alves, Sami Khedira and Emre Can is the latest player to join their illustrious list of free transfers.

Meanwhile, Ramsey, the Wales midfielder’s deal ends next year, when he could leave for free. However, he insists to stay at Arsenal until the end of the season.

The 27-year old midfielder joined Arsenal in 2008 in a £ 4.8m move from hometown club Cardiff City and is the Gunners longest-serving current player.

Ramsey will have the option of signing a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club from 1 January next year. He was diplomatic about the club’s decision to withdraw the contract offer.

“I am contracted to Arsenal and I am going to do my best this season to achieve something special.” Ramsey told to reporter.

“That’s the decision they have made – things happen in football and you just have to get on with it and carry on playing the best you can.

“Everything has been going great with the club. We thought we were in a position where we had agreed a deal but that’s no longer the case.” Ramsey added.
