Former Manchester United player Louis Saha has no doubts about Kobbie Mainoo’s abilities. Dua believes that Mainoo has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

Mainoo is standing out at Manchester United at the moment. He was able to attract attention after getting his chance under Erik Ten Hag.

Mainoo then developed into one of the best young players in the MU squad. He started to become a regular player for the Red Devils this season.

So far this season, Mainoo has played 20 matches in all competitions with Manchester United. He was able to contribute two goals.

Saha believes that Mainoo has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. He also said that Mainoo has a combination like Xavi Hernandez and Sergio Busquets when controlling the ball.

“Yes, I hope so too. There are good signs that this might happen, but he still needs to improve his physical condition,” Saha told Betfred.

“In possession, he has a mix of Xavi [Hernandez] and Sergio Busquets when he attacks, but he doesn’t necessarily have the body of Marouane Fellaini or Paul Pogba.”

Saha sees that Mainoo is able to consistently show good performance. He hopes the midfielder can continue to develop in the future.

“Kobbie has shown that he can play well consistently and people can play around him,” continued Saha.

“So it’s great to have a player of his talent and he is able to play under pressure and give the wingers the opportunity to compete in one-on-one situations.

“Hopefully he can continue to develop over the next few years.”

As a Manchester United player, Mainoo did not make Red Devils legends, such as Roy Keane or Paul Scholes, his idol players. This is because Mainoo idolizes Ronaldinho.

“I think everyone is a fan of Ronaldinho, how can you not be a fan?” Mainoo said as reported by talkSPORT.

“He is a great player. He plays with a smile on his face and plays freely. Brazil is a country with an incredible football history, with a truly iconic team, so playing against them will be incredible.”

The Manchester United squad is filled with many quality players. Mainoo admitted that he learned a lot from a number of great midfielders to help him develop.

“I think Bruno [Fernandes] or Casemiro [helped the most]. “Playing in midfield with them really helped me and they have a lot of experience,” he continued.

“They are great players who have had great careers, so taking lessons from them is the best.

“There are a lot of things, they always try to help and embrace me in any way they can.”
