Kylian Mbappe, The New King of Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp

Although still very young, Kylian Mbappe has proven himself as one of the best players in the world of football. He has collected four Ligue 1 titles and one World Cup trophy. With these achievements it is enough to prove that Kylian is a quality player.

Nevertheless, there are concerns on the development of Mbappe. Playing in PSG could limit his talent to keep improving. Not that PSG is bad, but there are some top clubs that are much better and will create a much more room for improvement.

Real Madrid is Kylian’s first choice. Reportedly Los Blancos has already had a plan for the Mbappe transfer, but this depends on the financial condition after the corona epidemic.

On the other hand, Liverpool, which is said to be one of the candidates. Since The Reds coach, Jurgen Klopp has a special appeal for young players.

Still Need to Learn

According to former Bayern Munich player, Willy Sagnol, the current Mbappe is already great, but not perfect. Also, he believes the appeal of Klopp is difficult to refuse by any young player. Liverpool are lucky to have a genius coach like Klopp.

“This club [Liverpool] has a big advantage, because with Jurgen Klopp means you have an attractive coach for any young player in the world,” Sagnol told Sportbild.

“Kylian Mbappe still has to adjust to Klopp, because he asks his strikers to continue to do defensive duties, which Mbappe hasn’t done well enough.”

The King of Liverpool

In essence, Sagnol believes Mbappe can be a top player in Liverpool as long as he is keen to develop his abilities, especially in defense. Thus, Mbappe can be formed as a new Liverpool star.

“He [Mbappe] can learn that [defensive duty], especially under a coach like Klopp. There is no doubt, Mbappe could be king with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool,” he said.

Last week, Mbappe himself delivered direct praise to Liverpool and Klopp. Indeed the praise does not mean anything, but can be interpreted as a sign of interest.

“In this season, Liverpool are playing like machines in the Premier League,” Mbappe said. “They make winning look easy, but actually it’s very difficult.”
