LeBron James Reveals His Future in the NBA

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James gave an exclusive interview to ESPN on Friday night, explaining his future in the NBA.

The 38-year-old athlete talked about the opportunity to play with his son and the league records while also expressing his displeasure with the team’s direction.

“I want to win, but this losing thing isn’t doing me any good. I don’t like achieving great things, I don’t feel good if that happens in a defeat. So, as we sit here, the team is below 50% performance.” James said.

“We’ve been playing well lately, but we want and I want to win at the highest level. Breaking records or beating big names in a loss is not in my DNA.” James added.

On Friday, the Lakers outscored the Atlanta Hawks 130-114 for their fourth consecutive win. However, the Californian team is far from the playoff zone, with 18 wins in 39 games.

“On court, trying to score in games that don’t matter, I feel so cheesy. So, I had no motivation, I wasn’t even going to play. So I never cared about it unless it was to win.” James said.

James insisted that he wants to win, but he made it clear that it’s not just up to him. When he indicates that he “want to win,” he is sending a message to Lakers GM Rob Pelinka.

However, Pelinka admitted LeBron that he would do everything to improve the roster and that he would trade the 2027 and 2029 Draft picks. Then, the athlete signed his two-year extension in July.

“I will be abundantly clear: We have one of the greatest players of all time in LeBron James and he is committed to us. But it’s a three-year contract.” Pelinka said.

“So, of course, we’re going to do everything we can, including draft picks, to make trades that will give us the chance of him getting there (championship),” Pelinka added.
