Liverpool have officially extended the contract of potential young player Harvey Elliott. The English passport player also signed a new contract that binds him until June 30, 2027.
“Liverpool FC can confirm Harvey Elliott has signed a new long-term contract with the club,” a Liverpool statement read.
The 19-year-old player is also happy to have a longer career with Liverpool. Please note, Elliott has been a Liverpool fan since childhood.
“It’s always nice to know that I’ll be here for many more years, which is always a great thing to be at my boyhood club, and nothing in the world has made me happier and more excited than this,” said Elliott.
The player who wore the number 19, entered the first team of Jurgen Klopp at the start of the 2021-2022 season. It comes after an impressive loan spell with Blackburn Rovers.
Elliott scored again for Liverpool in the FA Cup win over Cardiff City in February 2022. In addition, he also entered as a substitute in the 2022 English League Cup final. Elliott even became one of the penalty takers in the victory over Chelsea.
In total, Elliott has made 22 senior appearances since arriving at Anfield in the summer of 2019. Now, Elliott has also become one of Liverpool’s mainstay midfielders, Jurgen Klopp.
After winning the FA Cup and the English League Cup last season, Elliott certainly wants to achieve greater achievements than before. His energy is also expected to help Liverpool win this season.
