Liverpool are willing to bring Luis Suarez back to Premier League, and they would prefer to replace current striker Mohamed Salah.
According to reports, the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp does not have a good relationship with Mohamed Salah and wants the club to re-sign Suarez this summer.
Back in December, 2020, the German manager declared the only reason Salah would want to leave Liverpool is the “weather” as he played down the Egyptian’s exit links.
“We make changes and bring players in and if a player wants to go, we cannot hold them back. It is just I wouldn’t understand why they would want to go.” Klopp said.
“Our colours are red, which is the nicest colour anyway. You cannot force people to stay, but that is it. It is all about timing, the right moment, stuff like this.” Klopp added.
Suarez scored 82 goals in 133 appearances for Liverpool in his previous stint before joining Barcelona. The 34-year-old striker became a historic Bara player, but they did not want to renew his contract due to his ‘advanced’ age.
However, Suarez has had outstanding performances with Atletico de Madrid and is currently the sub-leader of the individual scoring table under his former teammate Lionel Messi. He has been a key part of Atletico’s LaLiga title push this term, with 19 goals.
The Uruguayan forward said a few days ago, he was happy for the great moment he is going through with the mattresses, so the possibility of changing teams is far off.
“I see myself enjoying the moment that I am living today in the elite of football. Some did not believe that he could continue to be.” Suarez said.
“I hope to continue this, next year and the years that follow, competing to the fullest until one is aware and realizes that this is where it has come.” he added.
