Tennis News: Kindness Team Captain Madison Keys claimed his first victory in a single number match at an exhibition called Credit One Bank Invitational held in Charleston, USA.
Playing the first match since the Australian Open this season Keys quickly overcame compatriot Caroline Dolehide at Volvo Car Stadium.
Last season’s Volvo Car Open champion Keys who had no chance of defending his title to Arpil this season, won nine of the first 10 games to win a 6-1, 3-0 lead only to see Dolehide bounce back and force a decisive set.
“It was an up and down match,” Keys said after claiming a 6-1, 7-6, 10-4 victory over Dolehide.
“I haven’t played a match in a really long time and I am certainly very nervous and I think it seems obvious, but I am really happy to be able to claim victory and offer more points for my team. “

“He started firing more balls and forced me to play, Then From my side, I slowed down my legs and seemed to wait for him to give me points but he didn’t do it.”
“I’m starting to feel frustrated. I feel really happy to be able to get back after going through the second set tiebreaker. Overall, some things worked well, but not too bad for the first game.”
Starting the day with a 3-2 advantage, the Peace Team took the lead after Jennifer Brady beat Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 6-2 before the Kindness Team represented by Sloane Stephens and Amanda Anisimova defeated Eugenie Bouchard and Danielle Rose Collins with 4-6, 7- 6, 10-7.
The Kindness team got additional points after Alison Riske knocked out Emma Navarro with 7-6, 4-6, 10-7.
The advantage of the Kindness Team only lasted shortly after Eugenie Bouchard frustrated Leylah Annie Fernandez with 6-4, 6-3 so the position between the two teams drew 6-6.
Closing the day, Bethanie Mattek Sands and Kenin put the Peace Team ahead while defeating Keys and Azarenka.
Previously Madison Keys was looking forward to returning to the competitive tennis match after he would compete in the exhibition event to be held in Charleston.
