Mikel Arteta Brings Arsenal to Win Again

Arsenal managed to reap satisfying results when undergoing week 15 of the English League 2020-2021 season. Facing Chelsea, the Gunners squad – nicknamed Arsenal – managed to finish the match with a 3-1 win over their opponent.

In a match that took place at the Emirates Stadium, early this morning WIB, Arsenal did appear to be pressing since the early minutes. Even Arsenal have several times managed to threaten the Chelsea goalkeeper who was escorted by Edouard Mendy.

Arsenal itself was only able to open their advantage over Chelsea when the game walked 34 minutes through Alexandre Lacazette’s penalty. Even just before the first half ended, Arsenal were able to increase their lead over Chelsea to 2-0 via a goal scored by Granit Xhaka.

Meanwhile, in the second half, Arsenal managed to score one additional goal through a beautiful Bukayo Saka strike in the 56th minute. Chelsea itself was only able to reduce their position from Arsenal in the 85th minute via Tammy Abraham’s goal.

After the match against Chelsea, Arsenal tactician Mikel Arteta also gave his comments. Yes, the Spanish coach admitted that he was relieved and proud to be able to return to bring victory for his club.

“I feel very relieved and happy with what we showed in today’s match (against Chelsea). I am happy to be able to win again, and satisfied to be able to make our fans something, “explained Arteta, as quoted from Sky Sports, Sunday (27/12/2020).

“Of course, I realize that they are disappointed with the results we got in the previous games. Even not only fans, our players suffer the same with that minor note, “he continued.

“But today on the boxing day of the London derby which took place at the Emirates Stadium, we managed to win in our own way. I think that is an important point, “added the 38-year-old coach.

The victory over Chelsea also ended Arsenal’s series of minor results in domestic competitions. The reason is, Arsenal itself had indeed gone through eight matches without being able to win a single one.

Not only that, the positive results against Chelsea also brought Arsenal to improve their position in the 2020-2021 Premier League standings. At the moment, the team from North London is in 14th place with a collection of 17 points from the past 15 matches.
