Monza vs Inter Milan Results: Nerazzurri 5-1 Goal Party!

The results of Monza vs Inter Milan in the 2023-2024 Italian League will be reviewed in this article. The Nerazzurri – Inter Milan’s nickname – successfully won with a score of 5-1.

The Monza vs Inter Milan match was held at the U-Power Stadium, on Sunday (14/1/2024) early morning WIB. Inter Milan’s goals were created through the actions of Hakan Calhanoglu (12′ and 60′), Lautaro Martinez (14′ and 84′), and Marcus Thuram (88′).

Inter Milan started the match well. They immediately got a golden opportunity to score a goal after only 12 minutes of the match.

The reason is, the referee awarded Inter Milan a penalty after reviewing VAR. Roberto Gagliardini was declared to have touched the ball with his hand in the forbidden box.

Hakan Calhanoglu also stepped forward as executor. He succeeded in carrying out his duties well, bringing Inter Milan to open a 1-0 lead.

After that, Inter Milan got even crazier. Only two minutes later, Inter managed to double their lead through the action of Lautaro Martinez who managed to take advantage of a great pass from Dimarco. Inter lead 2-0.

AC Monza actually had time to reduce its position after that. Matteo Pessina managed to put the ball into Inter’s goal with a header. Unfortunately, Matteo Pessina’s goal was disallowed by the referee after checking VAR because he was declared offside. The score of 2-0 in favor of Inter Milan did not change until the halftime break.

In the second half, Inter Milan continued to attack intensely. They seem to want to continue to increase their advantage.

Inter Milan’s efforts bore fruit in the 60th minute. Hakan Calhanoglu showed his fangs again in this match. This time, he broke into the opponent’s goal after using a pass from Thuram.

Increasingly behind, Monza did not remain silent. They are trying to catch up. In the 69th minute, luck came to Monza because they were awarded a penalty.

Pessina also managed to use this opportunity to score a goal. Monza reduced the gap to 1-3.

Towards the end of the match, Lautaro Martinez managed to increase his team’s lead. He scored an additional goal via a penalty kick after another Monza player made a mistake in the forbidden box.

Inter Milan’s goal spree didn’t stop there. Only four minutes later, or to be precise in the 88th minute, it was Marcus Thuram’s turn to score. Inter also ensured a landslide victory 5-1.
