Several trial matches ahead of Euro 2024 took place on Monday (10/6/2024) yesterday, including the Netherlands’ landslide victory over Iceland.
The Netherlands managed to win 4-0 over Iceland in a trial match that took place at the Feyenoord Stadium, Monday (11/6/2024) local time.
In that match, the Netherlands’ opening goal was scored in the 23rd minute through Xavi Simons. The Netherlands managed to close the first half with a temporary 1-0 lead over Iceland.
At the beginning of the second half, precisely in the 49th minute, the Netherlands managed to increase their lead to 2-0 through Virgil van Dijk’s goal.
Then in the 79th minute the Netherlands managed to add a goal through Donyell Malen. Then the last goal for the Netherlands was scored by Wout Weghorst in the 90+3 minute.
