Neymar has to leave Paris Saint-Germain, says Barcelona legend

Barcelona legend Rivaldo told media about Neymar’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain. He suggested that his compatriot must decide to go if he wants to win Ballon d’Or in the future.

Neymar was signed by Paris Saint-Germain for a world record 222 million euros from Camp Nou in a last summer. He was very impressed since opened his first season with Unai Emery’s side.

There’s a rumor that Lione Messi was the reason why Neymar left Camp Nou in a last summer. But the Argetine striker had cleared that rumour after former team-mate signing the deal.

Messi and Neymar were a great team-mate during playing at Spanish La Liga. Both strikers had good teamwork to score in a single match.

Since leaving Blaugrana, the Brazilian striker has made 30 appearances, scoring 29 goals and assisting a further 16 strikes for PSG so far.

Speaking to media, Rivaldo said that Neymar must leave Paris de Prince and return to La Liga in next season if he wants to be the best in the world and win Ballon d’Or.

“I have even told Neymar he could be the best in the world. But I believe that if he stays at PSG, it will not happen.” Rivaldo told to GlobeEsporte.

“He has to leave PSG. Barcelona because of his situation, is difficult. But I believe that, from what I hear, from people who bring information to me, he has a chance to play for Real Madrid.

“The football for him, if he is to be the best in the world, has to be in Spain. If you’re going to analyse, there’s England, Spain, Italy, Germany, all different.

“But I’m talking about competitive football. If he does so, then, yes, I think he can be the best in the world.” Rivaldo added.

Neymar is recovering well from a foot injury and is on schedule to be ready for the World Cup. However, his future at PSG could be in doubt.

The Paris Saint-Germain superstar was injured on February 25, in a Ligue 1 match against Marselle. He had surgery in March on cracked mentatarsal in his right foot.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly upping his attempts to sign Neymar to replace Gareth Bale at Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
