Novak Djokovic won the 34th Masters title in his career after frustrating young Canadian tennis player Denis Shapovalov 6-3 6-4 at the top of the Paris Masters.

Novak Djokovic appeared untouched in his service and made good use of Shapovalov’s faltering start which was broken twice in the first Masters 1000 final of his career, in order to claim the fifth Paris masters title in his career and extend his unbeaten list against Shapovalov to 4-0.

“I think in the match this time I showed the best service throughout the tournament and that’s why the match was quite short,” said Djokovic.

“I put him under pressure in the second serve and from behind the field, I appeared solid and didn’t give him many chances.”

“It was one of the best matches I played at the Paris Masters this season. My appearance is increasing every day.”
