After falling behind, Liverpool blindly attacked the Bournemouth defense. The effort finally paid off in the 27th minute. Luis Diaz’s acrobatic right-foot shot was unable to be driven out by Neto, the score changed to a 1-1 draw.
The wind turned to the host camp. In the 35th minute, the referee awarded Liverpool with a penalty after Dominik Szoboszlai was brought down by Joe Rothwell in the forbidden box.

Losing the number of players did not make Liverpool relax their attacks. In fact, they managed to add to the advantage through Diogo Jota’s flick which took advantage of the ball rebounding in the 62nd minute.
Bournemouth got a golden opportunity to reduce the position in the final minutes. However, David Brooks and Hamed Traore’s shots were cleared by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
