Mane no longer squandered the opportunity he got seven minutes later. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s breakthrough bait was met by Mane’s first time kick in the penalty box which broke into Burnley’s goal and changed the score to 2-0.
Liverpool continued to exert pressure despite winning 2-0 over Burnley. Instead Burnley only occasionally put pressure on and had time to create opportunities through Dwight McNeil towards the end of the second half.
McNeil fired speculation from outside the penalty box which is still wide on the left side of the Liverpool goal. After that no more goals were created and Liverpool closed the game with a score of 2-0.
