Liverpool won 6-0 over Leeds United in the Premier League match at Anfield Stadium, Wednesday (23/2).
In the second minute, Liverpool were able to create opportunities through Luis Dias’ shot. But his shot was still weak so it was easily caught by the Leeds goalkeeper.
One minute later, Luis Dias fired another hard shot towards the Leeds goal. Unfortunately, Dias’ shot hit his partner, Sadio Mane, causing the ball to deviate far from the Leeds goal.
In the sixth minute, Leeds got a chance after Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker made a blunder in front of his goal that the opposing striker could snatch. Luckily, the Liverpool defender swiftly secured a wild ball that the Leeds striker failed to master.
Liverpool finally managed to open the scoring in the 15th minute through Mohamed Salah’s penalty.
In the 21st minute, Liverpool got another chance through Luis Dias. Luis Dias who penetrated from the right side of the Leeds defense managed to open a shot. However, his shot was still too weak so it was easily secured by the Leeds goalkeeper.
In the 27th minute, Leeds was actually able to break into Liverpool’s goal through Raphinha’s flick. However, the goal was disallowed because Raphinha was judged to have stood first in an offside position.
In the 30th minute, Liverpool managed to increase the advantage to 2-0 through Joel Matip. Matip, who overlapped from the back line, then made a one-two pass with Salah to score.
In the 34th minute, Mohamed Salah also succeeded in bringing Liverpool back to widen the winning distance to 3-0 through a penalty goal.
No additional goals were created until the first half ended. Liverpool lead 3-0 over Leeds in the first half.
In the 74th minute, Liverpool got another chance through Jones’ flick from inside the Leeds penalty box. However, his shot was still too weak so it was easily secured by the Leeds goalkeeper.
Liverpool also managed to increase their advantage to 4-0 through Sadio Mane’s goal in the 80th minute after completing a combination of triangle passes with Salah and Jordan Henderson.
It didn’t end there, Liverpool managed to add a goal through Sadio Mane after continuing Divock Origi’s flick which had passed the Leeds goalkeeper.
In fact, Liverpool, managed to increase the victory to 6-0 through Van Dijk’s header in the 90+3 minute.
Liverpool also managed to close this match with a 6-0 win over Leeds.
