PSG Ready to Report Madrid to FIFA for Illegal Deal with Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will report Real Madrid to FIFA on suspicion of making an illegal deal with Kylian Mbappe. PSG opened up the option to sell the French national player in the 2023 summer transfer market.

The Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal, then came to PSG with a giant contract to get the services of Kylian Mbappe. At that time, the money that Al Hilal offered to PSG to bring in Mbappe was worth 300 million euros. In addition, Mbappe was also lured by a salary worth a total of 700 million euros.

However, Mbappe is reported to have refused to negotiate with Al Hilal in the 2023 summer transfer market. Now, Kylian Mbappe has not activated the one-year extension option at PSG. It means he will also stay in Paris until his contract expires in 2024.

In Mbappe’s work contract at PSG signed in 2022, there is an option clause for an extra one season contract extension until 2025. This clause can be activated by Mbappe before 31 July 2023 at 23.59. Now, it means that Mbappe’s option to extend his contract with PSG until 2025 has expired.

Obviously, this situation is a loss for PSG. The reason is, Les Parisiens has the potential to lose Mbappe on a free transfer next season. European transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, revealed that PSG believes Mbappe has made a deal to join Madrid next season.

“PSG thinks he (Mbappe) has agreed to join Real Madrid in 2024 on a free transfer,” Fabrizio Romano said on Instagram. PSG are not happy with the secret agreement built between Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe. According to a report by The Telegraph, PSG is considering reporting Real Madrid to FIFA over transfer activity with Mbappe.

Marca reports that Real Madrid will receive criticism from FIFA for carrying out illegal transfer activities with Mbappe. “Obviously, Mbappe still has a contract at PSG, no club can negotiate with Mbappe until January 1,” wrote Marca.

“Any negotiation that takes place before that date and without the permission of the Parisian club will be deemed illegal and subject to the condemnation of FIFA,” continued the Marca report. Meanwhile, it is reported that Mbappe and his family will get big profits if he joins Madrid next season. Yes, Kylian Mbappe and family will receive a bonus from Real Madrid worth 160 million euros.
