Ric Flair tweets positive message after scary hospitalization

Ric Flair seems to have spoken out for the first time since he was hospitalized with “multiple failing organs.”

The WWE personality (or someone from his PR team) took to Twitter to thank fans and assure the public he is on the mend.

A couple of tweets have been posted from Flair’s account since he was hospitalized on Aug. 12 and required major surgery, but this is the first tweet that indicated he is doing better.

While the nature of Flair’s hospitalization hasn’t been disclosed, his fiancee, Wendy Barlow, said he is recovering and that she “witnessed a miracle.”

“He is doing very well for a man who has been through so much! He will begin physical therapy shortly and will be stronger than ever and back out enjoying all the fans sooner than you would think,” Barlow wrote.

Flair, 68, was brought to the hospital for “severe abdominal pain” and had surgery to clear out an intestinal blockage after he was placed in a medically induced coma.

Just last week, reports surfaced that Flair was awake and communicating.
