So finally Roger Federer is up for the final match of Rogers Cup which is going to be held in Toronto. On Saturday night he just knocked down Feliciano Lopez from Spain by 6 – 4. He is now up for the World Cup final match with France’s Jo – Wilfried Tsonga.
Federer is up for earning the winning title for the third time and up till now he has 79 different career titles and also he is known as 17-time Grand Slam Champion.
Federer in his last two matches earned three sets and on this victory he is very happy. On talk regarding his three sets he said, “I think I served well, I was aggressive and I was able to really play the way I wanted to play tonight,”
On the other side Tsonga proceeded for the final by defeating his opponent Grigor Dimitrov by 6 – 4. Tsonga had beaten two top players Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic on Thursday and Friday respectively. It is indeed a great victory for Tsonga. Expressing the happiness Tsonga said, “I didn’t do that (for a) couple of years now and it gives me hope for the rest of the year.”
This season out of 4 Federer has won 2 finals. They were held in Halle and Dubai. Tsonga lost in his last season’s final against Ernests Gulbis. For an upcoming exciting final between Tsonga and Federer, Tsonga said that it is really special playing again Roger. I think he is right too because always Roger has a big crowd and he plays in a big space and yes a big stadium too. Tsonga said that this match is going to be a piece of sensation.
Most of the fans again for the coming Roger’s World Cup are for Federer. I am personally up for Roger Federer. Back in 2008, Tsonga was defeated by Roger Federer in Paris. Now let’s see who is going to catch the title of 2014.
For Tsonga, Federer said that he has the capability to overpower the crowd around him. Fingers are crossed. Result can be anything. The match is going to be really exciting. After the Saturday’s match Federer said for Tsonga, “Serve up a storm and then play really aggressive with his forehand and also be solid on his backhand. You think you’re in a safe place sometimes in the rally and he takes one step and just hits it and the point is over.”
