Al Nassr won 4-1 over Al Fayha in the second week of the Saudi Arabian Pro League at the King Abdullah Stadium, Wednesday (28/8/2024) local time.
Talisca brought Al Nassr to lead quickly after scored a goal in the fifth minute after receiving an assist from Cristiano Ronaldo.
The goal started from Otavio’s pass to Ronaldo. CR7 who was in the penalty box then sent the ball to Talisca before being executed with a left-footed kick.
Al Fayha tried to equalize in the 24th minute. However, Fashon Sakala’s low kick was well anticipated by Bento.
Acting as the host, Al Fayha displayed a pretty good attack. Al Fayha almost made the score equal in the 38th minute if Rakan Rubi’s kick had not gone slightly wide on the left side.
Cristiano Ronaldo got a chance to score in the 44th minute. However, Ronaldo’s header which utilized Marcelo Brozovic’s cross still flew over the opponent’s goal.
Al Nassr got a free kick in front of Al Fayha’s penalty box after Talista was fouled. Ronaldo took the free kick and succueskk scored in the 45+10 minute. The 39-year-old striker released a right-footed kick into the right corner of Al Fayha’s goal which goalkeeper Abdulraouf Al Duqayl could not reach.
Leading 2-0 in the first half made Al Nassr increase their attacks in the second half. In the 47th minute Ronaldo got another chance, but this time Ronaldo’s right-footed shot from close range was blocked by Al Duqayl.
Ronaldo once again failed to score a goal in the 52nd minute after his kick from the middle of the penalty box still flew over the opponent’s goal.
Al Fayha and Al Nassr displayed an exchange of attacks in the middle of the second half. Al Nassr moved further away from Al Fayha after Marcelo Brozovic broke into Al Duqayl’s goal in the 85th minute thanks to an assist from Sadio Mane.
Al Fayha was only able to score one goal in 88th minute through Fashon Sakala’s header which maximized Alejandro Pozuelo’s pass.
At the end of the match, Talisca closed the match with his second goal in the 90+5 minute. Al Nassr won 4-1 over Al Fayha.
