Scientific Games awarded “Land-based Supplier of the Year” at 2017 at 2017 Global Gaming Expo (G2E)

Global leader in the gaming and lottery industries, Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS) (“Scientific Games” or the “Company”) recently announced that it was the recipient of three top honours, including the prestigious “Land-based Supplier of the Year” Award, from the 4th Annual Global Gaming Awards held in Las Vegas at the 2017 Global Gaming Expo (G2E). Sixty judges from the industry, worldwide, vote for who they deem to be the best land-based gaming supplier in recognition of services and product innovation to award the coveted “Land-based Supplier of the Year” Award.

Scientific Games’ WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET™ also took home 2nd Place for “Land-based Product of the Year.” The multi-state linked instant game was created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. The award honors the technologies, features and the equipment that have made for a better gaming experience. Having surpassed $328 million in retail sales, and as of Oct. 6, 2017, nearly two million second-chance entries, WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET has been so far launched by 12 U.S. lotteries, with an additional four to come. The Las Vegas-based company also received a third-place nod in the 2017 “Digital Product of the Year” category for its Secret Santa Second-Chance Drawings; a promotion created for the Pennsylvania Lottery. The award recognizes the innovations or features that have made better the interactive gaming sector. Setting an industry record, in Pennsylvania, the holiday promotion surpassed $40 million in retail sales with 15.8 million online entries, 65 percent of which were via the mobile app.

CEO for Scientific Games, Kevin Sheehan, said the company was honored to accept the three awards form their “esteemed gaming industry colleagues.” He went on to say, “This recognition reflects the 100 percent commitment to innovation our company has strived for this past year,” according to the press release. Sheehan thanked the panel of the 2017 Global Gaming Awards and assured that they would continue their mission to provide players around the globe with the best in gaming entertainment experiences.

Scientific Games won top honors in 2016, earning “Land-Based Gaming Innovation of the Year” at the Global Gaming Awards. The company also boasts being a finalist for “Digital Product of the Year,” “Casino Product of the Year” and “Land-Based Industry Supplier of the Year.”
