Sebastian Vettel crashed his Ferrari in Italy

Sebastian Vettel, who won at Belgium Grand Prix put an end to Mercedes’ winning streak of Hungary and Germany GP. Hamilton’s still leads the F1 World Drivers’ Championship with 17 points lead over Sebastian Vettel.

Teams for World Championship have a demanding week, as the first practice for Italy will start on Friday.

However, Ferrari and other two teams found time to stay at Milan for a fan festival. F1 cars took to streets of Navigli quarter in Milan, where it took turn for Ferrari team.

Sebastian Vettel broke front wing of his car when he crashed into barriers of low-speed corner.

Vettel reversed his drive from the barriers and reached his mechanics with the broken wing.

F1 cars are hard to handle on normal roads because of low speed. Low speed makes it very hard for tyres and brakes to maintain the temperature.

But German driver admitted his fault and explained that steering wheel confusion led him to hit barriers.

“I apologised,” Vettel said.

“I went with the car and the steering wheel of Kimi, who had the clutch on the other side.

“I didn’t think about it, and at that point I was too fast.

“I asked if it would be possible to change the wing to do two more laps for the fans.

“Obviously it was my mistake, but that’s OK.”

F1 cars will continue to show up till Saturday, but it won’t feature those who drove on Wednesday.

Sauber and Toro Rosso accompanied Ferrari with their drivers Charles Leclerc and Marcus Ericsson, and Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley, respectively. Whereas Ferrari’s duo was completed with Kimi Raikkonen joining the venture.

Vettel will remain focused on his battle with his Mercedes counterpart, where Ferrari will show its engine superiority once again this season.

“I think it’s a huge compliment if people praise our engine because the last five years people didn’t praise anything other than Mercedes engines,” Vettel said.

”So it’s good to have that change and I think it makes Maranello and all the Ferraristi and our engine department very happy.

“Everybody involved can be very proud.

“I think the key is not only that, the key is teamwork, the car is also working in all sorts of tracks, is efficient and I think that’s the key to bringing everything together. We take it.”
