Serie A Results: Juventus Draws Inter on Penalty

Paulo Dybala’s penalty in the last minute saved Juventus from defeat when they visited Inter Milan’s headquarters in the Italian League continued at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Sunday (24/10).

Inter got off to a great start to the Derby d’Italia, they went on the attack right away when the first half started.

Simone Inzaghi team several times to create opportunities. But it can still be countered by the Juventus defense.

In the 17th minute an attempted shot from Hakan Calhanoglu got past the Juventus goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, the ball hit the post and fell to the feet of Edin Dzeko who freely scored the ball and scored!

The Juventus players had thought the goal was offside. Until then the referee checked the Video Assistance Referee or VAR, but it turned out that the striker was in an onside position, so the goal was still approved.

Behind 1-0 the Juventus players tried to increase the tempo of the attack. But there were no good chances, too easily countered by Inter defenders. Until the first half was closed with the advantage of Inter Milan 1-0.

After the break, Inter relaxed their attack a bit. They chose to play a little slower than in the first half.

This condition was used by Juventus players to increase their attack power. However, there was almost no good chance for the visitors. Until then Paulo Dybala was included to increase attack power.

Sure enough, Dybala’s first chance was made by kicking a free kick in front of the Inter penalty box. Luckily the Argentine striker’s free-kick ball was pushed over by goalkeeper Handanovic, saving the Inter goal.

In the midst of the hard work of the Inter players to maintain the advantage, they should be punished with a penalty in the 89th minute. A chaos occurred in the Inter penalty area, where first the referee checked VAR.

From the VAR show, it appears that Dumfries, who came on as a substitute, is considered to have violated Alex Sandro.

This condition triggered strong protests from Inter players to coach Simone Inzaghi. Until the referee gave the coach a red card.

Referee Maurizio Mariani remained unmoved, after seeing VAR, he awarded a penalty to Juventus. Dybala who advanced as the executor coolly beat goalkeeper Handanovic and scored, the score became 1-1.

Five minutes of extra half failed to be used by both teams to add goals, the score 1-1 lasted until the game was finished.
