Serie A Results: Milan vs Juventus Ends Without a Winner

AC Milan drew 0-0 against Juventus in the Italian League continued match at the San Siro, Sunday (23/1).

In the first half, the duel between the two Italian giants was immediately fierce. It was observed, buying and selling direct attacks occurred in the first 10 minutes of the match.

Even so, the attacks carried out by AC Milan were more effective than Juventus. Utilizing the left side, Rafael Leao managed to weave in the Bianconeri defense – the nickname of Juventus.

However, Juventus did not remain silent. Several times Paulo Dybala tried to push into the Rossoneri defense – AC Milan’s nickname. Unfortunately, the attempt was thwarted by Theo Hernandez and colleagues.

Milan got a chance to score in the 20th minute. Rafael Leao fired a right footed shot from outside the penalty box which was still secured by Wojciech Szczesny.

Four minutes later it was Juventus’ turn to spread the threat. Paulo Dybala fired a left footed shot that was still over the crossbar.

In the 28th minute, Milan had to lose Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker suffered an injury and had to be replaced by Olivier Giroud.

Milan became the team that dominated the game entering the last 15 minutes of the first half. Right-back, Davide Calabria almost scored if his shot from outside the penalty box is not thin on the left side of the goal.

Another opportunity was obtained by Milan through Theo Hernandez and Sandro Tonali. However, both efforts could still be thwarted by Juventus players who appeared disciplined in defense.

At the beginning of the second half Juventus immediately got two opportunities through Dybala and and Alvaro Morata. Unfortunately the two opportunities that have not been fruitful goals.

Milan’s turn to spread the threat eleven minutes into the second half. Leao tried to break into the Juventus goal through a shot from outside the penalty box which Szczesny could still secure.

In the 63rd minute it was Hernandez’s turn to get a chance. This time Hernandez’s efforts to take advantage of Leao’s bait also did not lead to a goal.

The match was getting fiercer into the remaining time of the second half of the match. Giroud had a few chances but the finish was unsatisfactory and Juventus’ attempts to score were also unproductive.

Milan and Juventus were not able to find the opponent’s goal throughout the 90 minutes. Score 0-0 to be the end of this match.

Due to this result, AC Milan dropped to third place in the Italian League 2021-2022 standings with 49 points, four points behind Inter Milan at the top. Meanwhile, Juventus is stuck in fifth position with 42 points.
