Suzuki and Pramac Racing Are Looking for a New Managers for 2022

Two MotoGP teams Suzuki Ecstar and Pramac Racing are eagerly looking for a new team manager while the MotoGP riders are enjoying a well-deserved winter break.

Suzuki saw Davide Brivio leave at the end of 2020 and make the switch to Formula 1, while Pramac Racing recently saw Francesco Guidotti leave to opt for a new management position within the KTM MotoGP project.

As for Suzuki, they decided to resolve Brivio’s departure this season internally. It is now clear that this was a temporary solution and that people have recently been busy looking for a suitable candidate externally.

One of the most important candidates was Guidotti. However, the 49-year-old Italian declined the offer and decided, as already mentioned, to opt for KTM.

Names such as Johan Stigefelt and Livio Suppo have also been mentioned frequently in recent times, but these two names can now also be removed from the list.

Stigefelt, who is still out of work after the split with Razlan Razali and the end of Petronas Yamaha SRT, will almost certainly make the switch to VR46 Racing.

Meanwhile, Suzuki seems to be looking beyond the MotoGP paddock and it seems that Pere Riba, Jonathan Rea’s current crew chief within the Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK, will soon be announced as the replacement for Brivio and from next season the role of team manager within Team Suzuki Ecstar.

Pramac Racing was also shocked by the departure of Guidotti in recent weeks. However, the replacement seems to be sought within the current team.

Pramac Racing rider coach Fonsi Nieto is invariably referred to as the successor to Guidotti. The name of Suppo still sings here, but for the time being this seems more like a diversion than a serious option.
