The first round of Premiere League gave us some exquisite moments in the history of football. The outcome of the match between Chelsea and Burnley was, as some would affirm, expected, for Chelsea was a favorite in this match, without any doubt.
The first moments of the match showed a different consequence from what the majority though, concerning that Burnley achieved a first goal thanks to the marvelous strike from Scott Arfield, Burnley’s midfielder.
Anyhow, only three minutes after Arfield’s exquisite shot Chelsea’s new signing Diego Costa made worth a £32 million transport with a fantastic low shot that went straight into the net, exactly in the unguarded corner, with a help of his co-player Ivanovic.
Just around six minutes after the second goal in the match, Chelsea scored again. The 21st minute was a lucky star for Chelsea, again. Francesc Fábregas assisted to the right footed Andre Schurrle. A fantastic move that made Chelsea lead in the match went into straight into the bottom left corner of the goal net.
After having help two times in the first two shots and scores of fabulous Chelsea Ivanovic made his way through to get his name signed by the third goal of Chelsea. Right-back Branislav Ivanovic scored with, again, the help of his colleague Cesc Fabregas making a smashing 3:1 result.
Until the end of the match things were pretty much clear. Chelsea showed their fans again why was considered a favorite in this match. However, in the second half started with an attempt missed from Danny Ings, a Burnley player. Until the end of the match there were several more tries including Schurrle’s try in 54th minute that ended in failure. Chelsea was keeping a safe distance from Burnley until the official end of the match, and sometimes looking for a chance to make the advantage they had higher.
Until the end spectators of the match didn’t have much to be excited about. Only one thing boosted the mood of their fans, when Chelsea about five minutes before the official end of the match let Didier Drogba play. Apart of that, it was pretty much a match anyone expected.
Jose Mourinho expressed his contentment concerning the fantastic game Cesc Fabregas showed during the match. Mourinho did say that the whole team played at a high level but that the man of the match would have to be Cesc for sure.
