The Portuguese born manager open his chance to coach in Ligue 1

The Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, who is currently unemployed, admitted he opened the opportunity for a career in the French Ligue 1 competition.

Mourinho has been unemployed from the world of coaching since mid-December, precisely when he was sacked by Premier League giants Manchester United following the poor results achieved by the Red Devils in the first half of the season.

To fill his spare time, Mourinho later accepted work as pundit. This weekend Mourinho apparently visited France to watch the match between hosts Lille against Montpellier.

Fantastic Experience

Since being unemployed, Mourinho was linked with several top European clubs, starting from Benfica to Inter Milan. But the 56-year-old man now also does not rule out the possibility to train a French club.

“I can imagine myself being a coach in Ligue 1. I am a man who has worked in four different countries, I like to know and learn about other cultures. Working in a new championship will be a fantastic experience,” Mourinho told beIN SPORTS.

“For now I’m still relaxed, I’m trying to live a better life with my family and friends and I’m trying to get the right opportunity to return to training,” he added.

No Talks yet

Regardless of Mourinho’s desire to immediately train again, but the man who also handled Chelsea admitted that until now there was no club that approached him.

“Two to three months [without work] are still okay, but afterwards it will become more difficult. I hope I can get a chance to come back stronger,” Mourinho said.

“My project is my project as a person and coach, to develop myself better, to think about all day about my profession which is also my passion. But this is not the time to talk to the club,” he said.
