Francis Ngannou, who has the strongest punch in the world, received a polish from Mike Tyson after losing at UFC 220 to Stipe Miocic.
Ngannou, who will meet Miocic again at UFC 260, is a Tyson fan. The Cameroon-born fighter once trained boxing in his hometown to follow in the footsteps of his idol.
The fighter nicknamed The Predator also intended to become a professional boxer when he left Cameroon for Europe, but then the owner of the gym where Ngannou practiced introduced mixed martial arts (MMA).
Ngannou then became a quite successful MMA fighter and had the opportunity to appear in a title duel against Miocic three years ago. Ngannou’s mainstay of hitting capital failed to make Miocic fall.
After losing to Miocic at UFC 220, Ngannou met with Tyson. The idol taught him several boxing techniques, from stances, footwork, and uppercuts.
Ngannou’s video received a ‘course’ from Tyson at the end of 2019 or after losing to Miocic was again uploaded to the ESPN MMA account on Instagram.
After receiving input from Tyson, Ngannou had a fight against Jairzinho Rozenstruik. In the duel at UFC 249, Ngannou won by knockout in just 20 seconds, which is the fastest record in Ngannou’s career.
Of the 15 wins that Ngannou collected, 11 of them were KO wins. The ten KO wins were made by Ngannou after joining UFC.
Apart from Rozenstruik who only lasted a matter of seconds, many famous fighters had already tasted Ngannou’s raw bogem such as Alistair Overeem, Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez, and Junior dos Santos.
Miocic also suffered bruises on his left cheek as a result of being hit by Ngannou when he won at UFC 220.
Francis Ngannou did enter UFC 260 with a performance that has changed from the defeat against Miocic at UFC 220. He won four times in a row by knockout in the first round.
MMA even believes that now is the best time for Ngannou to win the heavyweight champion belt from Miocic’s hands.
