Usain Bolt signed for a football team?

Multiple Olympic and world sprint champion, Usain Bolt has announced a video on Twitter that he has signed for a football team. But which team?

The fast human in the world has never hidden his desire for the football. He admitted that EPL clubs Manchester United is one of his favourite teams in the world.

“I’ve signed for a football team! Find out which one this Tuesday at 8:00 GMT.” wrote Bolt at his Twitter account.

After he posted the video, fans of the Jamaican have been quick to judge as to who will be the team he has chosen to play with top football  teams in Europe, Manchester United, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, and Real Madrid.

Bolt has frequently discussed his football dream teams. In January 2018, Bolt told that he would make a trial at the German football club Borussia Dortmund, in March, confirming his desire to make a career in football.

“We will do a test in March at Dortmund to find out what I’m going to do with this [footballer] career, and if they say I’m good and need to train, I’ll do it.” Bolt said.

“It makes me nervous. Normally, I’m not nervous, but it’s different, because it is football now, I’ll take some time to adapt, but once I’ve played a few games I’ll be used to it.

“One of my biggest dreams is to sign for Manchester United, and if Dortmund says I’m good enough, I’ll hang in there and train hard.

“I spoke with Alex Ferguson and asked him to put in a favorable word for me and he told me that if I was fit and ready, he would see what he could do for me.” he added.

Bolt retired after the 2017 IAAF World Championship, in London, when he finished third in his last solo 100m race.

The 31-year-old is the most successful sprinter of the World Championships and was the first sprinter to win there titles in both the 100m and 200m race at the competition.

However, Bolt was banned of the 4 x 100 relay gold from the Beijing Games in 2008 because his team-mate Nesta Carter was found guilty of a doping breach.
