Wolves Coach Points to Raul Jiminez’s Return before the End of the Season

Nuno Espirito Santo is sure that Raul Jimenez will play again this season, after he suffered a skull fracture during Wolverhampton’s match against Arsenal on Day 10 of the Premier League.

The Mexican forward underwent surgery and is currently doing rehabilitation work. He has even exercised in the gym and on the court, although he has not yet trained with his teammates.

Wolves manager Nuno hoped Jimenez to recover as soon as possible so that he can score many goals again. However, he will be patient and wait until the player is discharged by the club doctors.

“Totally safe. Speed is the speed we must follow. We must be attentive to circumstances. We must avoid any type of contact.” Nuno said.

“He has been able to participate in the initial part of the training sessions. We are following the correct protocols without rushing. I am delighted that it is improving day by day. So it’s fantastic for us.

“Just him being with his team-mates is a big help for him, and for us. We are following the right protocols with no rush, but we’re delighted Raul is getting better day by day.” Nuno added.

Jimenez is the top scorer in the history of Wolverhampton in the Premier League, with 33 goals. Since he suffered the impact on the head, his team has recorded 4 wins, 4 draws and 7 losses in 15 games played this season.

“Raul has this desire inside him that he wants to return and this is the most important step he’s already made.” Nuno said.

“We will give time but he wants to return. Raul is a player who must be on the pitch, he’s so talented, so good, very important for us.” Nuno added.
