Won the MotoGP Assen, Bagnaia Equals Casey Stoner’s Record

Francesco Bagnaia has successfully equaled Casey Stoner’s winning record with Ducati in MotoGP. Thanks to his victory at the Dutch MotoGP on Sunday (6/30/2024), Bagnaia has now achieved 23 wins with the Italian motorcycle manufacturer.

Stoner himself achieved 23 wins in 67 races with Ducati. Bagnaia has the opportunity to surpass the legendary Australian racer’s winning record with Ducati.

Bagnaia managed to finish in the main race of the 2024 Dutch MotoGP at the Assen Circuit, on Sunday night (6/30/2024). This is Bagnaia’s third consecutive victory in the race at Assen.

The victory on June 2, 2024 at the Catalunya MotoGP brought Bagnaia’s record with Ducati to 22 wins. Today, Stoner’s winning record was finally equaled by Bagnaia at Assen.

“Congratulations to @peccobagnaia who equaled @official_cs27’s record with @DucatiMotor. There will be many more (victories) and an unstoppable journey ahead,” tweeted the X account @ducaticorse, Sunday (6/30/2024).

When winning the main race of the 2024 Dutch MotoGP, Bagnaia set a time record of 40 minutes 7.214 seconds. The time was 30.426 seconds faster than when the Italian racer finished the 2023 Dutch MotoGP race at the Assen Circuit.

Bagnaia showed his dominance in the racing session at the Assen Circuit, Netherlands. This is because the 27-year-old racer has always been the fastest since qualifying, the Sprint Race to the Main Race.

Bagnaia performed perfectly at the Dutch MotoGP. He won the sprint race and the Sunday race. As a result, Bagnaia earned perfect points from this race.

This achievement itself is not the first time Bagnaia has done it. In the previous series at the Italian MotoGP which took place at the Mugello circuit, Bagnaia was also able to sweep the sprint race and Sunday race.

Bagnaia began to enter ‘monster mode’ which made it difficult for his competitors to match. Bagnaia is also getting closer to Jorge Martin in the 2024 MotoGP standings.

Meanwhile, in the 2024 MotoGP rider standings, thanks to his victory in Assen, Bagnaia is now only 10 points behind Jorge Martin, who is still at the top with a collection of 200 points.
