Marc VDS team boss Michael Bartholemy confirmed that he had made great progress on the issue of his team after the 2018 MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix.
According to reports, the structure Estrella Galicia 0.0 Marc VDS, released from its contract with Honda team at the end of 2018, and have been contacted by three top manufacturers.
“We had several meetings and it was important that Marc attend. The situation is now a little clearer, but we have nothing decided!” Bartholemy said.
“We still lack some elements. I said that I would like to make a decision around the end of March – beginning of April. We are on the right path.
“The end of March on the way, it is a safe bet that the decision will be rather known at the beginning of April. And what event coincides with this period? The Argentine GP, scheduled for the weekend of April 9th.” Bartholemy added.
As for the rumors announcing that three MotoGP manufacturers – Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki, they were on the spot with Marc VDS.
According to reports, Suzuki is currently in pole position on this file. At the same time, Honda has a delay: Bartholemy has openly overtaken the brand, which he holds responsible for the departure of Jack Miller.
“That being the case, we are not yet able to say anything. As I said, we have a better idea of what each of us is proposing. But we still need some time to understand where we are going.” Bartholemy said.

“Suzuki is one of the manufacturers we are talking with. I think last year when Honda offered us the 2017 bike, at that moment they wanted to sign a one year contract.
“Maybe we were a little disappointed that it was only for one year, as we wanted to have more support from the company. Now, things are changing for us and for them [Honda] too.
“I think we are one of the best Independent Teams that is free from 2019 to 2021, so let’s see. The target is to have a partner for the next three years and sign for one year. Let’s see who can convince us the most for our future.” he added.
In addition, Cal Crutchlow and LCR have better equipment than that given to Marc VDS. And he only received Honda’s offer in Qatar.
