Italian League Results: Ronaldo 2 Goals, Juventus Beat Crotone

Cristiano Ronaldo became the star of Juventus’ victory when they beat Crotone 3-0 in the Italian League continued match at the Allianz Stadium, Turin, Tuesday (23/2). Juventus managed to bounce back to winning ways in Serie A after losing streaks across competitions.

Juventus dominated the game in this match. The host continued to put pressure on to break into Crotone’s goal.

Ronaldo got the first chance in this match in the 11th minute. However, Ronaldo’s right footed shot from inside the penalty box can still be blocked by Crotone defender.

The visitors responded four minutes later. Junior Messias fired a speculative shot from outside the penalty box which still did not endanger Gianluigi Buffon’s goal.

After that, Juventus continued to apply pressure and produced several other opportunities. This insistent pressure had just paid off six minutes before the normal time of the first half ran out.

Juventus breaks the deadlock through Ronaldo. CR7 broke into Crotone’s goal with a header after receiving Alex Sandro’s measured pass from outside the penalty box.

Ronaldo then scored his second goal in the first half injury time. Ronaldo scored again with a header from Aaron Ramsey’s bait.

Ronaldo almost scored his third goal in this match a few minutes later. However, his shot took advantage of a breakthrough bait to the left of Crotone’s goal and the score lasted 2-0 until the first half ended.

In the second half, the dominance of the game still belongs to Juventus. Andrea Pirlo’s squad continues to spread threats through the movements of Ronaldo, Federico Chiesa, and Dejan Kulusevski.

Juventus’ efforts to increase the advantage yielded results in the 66th minute. The chaos in the Crotone penalty box which started from a corner kick was used by Weston McKennie to thrill the visitors’ goal.

Winning 3-0, Juventus did not relax the pressure. In fact, several other opportunities were obtained by Ronaldo, who should have scored more than two goals in this match.

The first win in four matches in all competitions saw Juventus move from sixth to third in the table. With one game remaining, they are on 45 points, eight points behind top-ranking Inter.

Crotone remains rooted at the bottom of the standings with 12 points from 23 matches, eight points adrift of the safety zone.
