Deontay Wilder Reveals when He Plans to Return to the Ring

The former heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder has revealed his eagerness to get back inside the ring.

Wilder has been considered one of the best heavyweight boxers of his generation, and arguably the biggest salvation power puncher in sports history.

The American fighter has been out of the ring since losing to TysonFury via eleventh-round knockout in the third and final meeting of their trilogy last October.

“I’m definitely considering coming back. This is something that we’re trying to figure out and get things situated. I just felt a re-boost for my career and coming back for the people.” Wilder said.

“I never have to return to boxing again in my life, I have set my life up and as I was running my career I dictated how I want things to go.

“And as I went along I made a series of smart investments and I don’t ever have to return again.” Wilder added.

The ‘Bronze Bomber’ is currently the No 1 ranked WBC contender and would be in line to fight for the vacant belt were Fury to retire following his victory over Dillian Whyte.

“Wilder is the number one contender and you have Joe Joyce at number two, the third is Joseph Parker,” the WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said.

Wilder was successfully defended the WBC heavyweight title 10 times, he’s been in some mammoth fights, and he’s taken quite a bit of damage in his last few outings.

“I am living proof of this is what people are waiting to see right now, and when you don’t have that heavyweight there no more clean star dies down.” Wilder said.

“I have even had guys in the heavyweight division reach out and say ‘champ we need our heavyweight champ back’. I hear this all the time from a lot of top people inside and outside of boxing.” he  added.
