Dramatic! Portugal aground Ghana with a score of 3-2

Portugal succeeded in overcoming Ghana’s resistance in a dramatic way.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s squad managed to win 3-2 over Ghana in the Qatar World Cup Group H match.

The Portugal vs Ghana match was held at the 974 Stadium, Doha, which ended early Friday 25 November 2022.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first person to score in five World Cups.

CR7 successfully opened Portugal’s score from the penalty spot in the 65th minute.

Eight minutes later Ghana equalized through Andre Ayew in the 73rd minute.

Not long after, Joao Felix restored Portugal’s lead through his goal in the 78th minute.

Two minutes later, Portugal moved away because of Rafael Leao’s goal which made the position change 3-1.

Osman Bukari then scored one minute before the end of normal time.

However, Ghana was no longer able to score a goal despite Portugal’s continued pressure at the last minute.

Ronaldo set a new record by overtaking Pele and Germany’s Uwe Seeler and Miroslav Klose.

Pele, Seeler and Miroslav Klose have scored in four World Cups.

In total, Ronaldo has scored 8 goals throughout his career in the World Cup so far.

Ronaldo scored a penalty after being brought down by Mohammed Salisu while pushing into the Ghana penalty area.

Ronaldo’s sweet record is apparently not as sweet as his story with Manchester United.

Manchester United announced Ronaldo will leave soon after he criticized the club and manager Erik ten Hag in a TV interview.

However, Ronaldo was not bothered by the news.

All attention is already on Ronaldo, whether he can break the record.

The tenth minute, Ronaldo almost scored when he got a perfect opportunity.

Mohammed Kudus recklessly gave the ball away in midfield.

Otavio, who got the ball, then passed it to Ronaldo, but he was unable to beat Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi.

Shortly thereafter Ronaldo headed in Raphael Guerreiro’s cross from close range.

But the header went wide of the Ghana goal.

Ronaldo then scored after the half hour mark.

However, CR7 was judged by referee Ismail Elfath to have pushed Alexander Djiku before scoring the goal so that this goal was declared invalid.

Ronaldo became Portugal’s only real goal threat for Group H’s weakest team.

Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus had the audience stunned after halftime.

Mohammed Kudus managed to break through the open Portuguese defense and fired a powerful shot that almost tore the Portuguese goal guarded by Diogo Costa.

Ghana then equalized when Andre Ayew latched on to Kudus’s pass to turn it into a goal in the 73rd minute.

But Felix and Leao ensured Portugal took the full points with two fine finishes in two minutes both set up by Bruno Fernandes.

Bukari reduced the lead for Ghana.

Bukari successfully headed the ball from a cross right in the mouth of the goal.

However, Portugal remained ahead with a score of 3-2 until the referee blew the long whistle.
