Barcelona wonderkid Ansu Fati is doubtful with a hamstring strain he picked during a Wednesday training session.
Catalan club released statement saying the promising talent will be out of action for about a month as he begins his rehabilitation proccess.
“Ansu Fati has suffered a muscle injury (to his right hamstring) during training on Wednesday. He is expected to be out for around four weeks,” Barcelona said in a statement.
Having signed for a European club at the age of 16, Fati is considered one of the most promising talents of the continent. But has had a four-year period of injuries that hampers his on field time and therefore growth as a player.
Fati’s fitness problems started in November 2020, when he sustained a severe knee injury that sidelined the player for several months.
Despite the fact that he was able to make a comeback, he has not been spared of a host of mishaps including other muscle injuries.
Every loss has brought questions about his durability and whether or not he can develop into the fighter many think he is.
The new hamstring problem could not have come at a worse time for Fati and FC Barcelona because the team needed his speed and inventiveness going forward.
Despite the fact that Fati as an attacking player incorporates a dynamic play to the team, he’s been an important player to the team given some of the important goals and assists he has made.
The 22-year-old winger has scored five goals in 10 games this season. Fati has been on the bench while coming on in the second half against Athletic.
Fati will not be available to feature in the club’s Champions League clash against Brest of France on November 26, as well as La Liga matches against Celta Vigo, Las Palmas, Mallorca and Real Betis.
