Previously known as the Chipping Norton Stakes, the event has been renamed the TAB Verry Elleegant Stakes to honour the legendary mare Verry Elleegant, who captured the hearts of racing fans worldwide.
Trained by the renowned Chris Waller, Verry Elleegant carved her name in racing history by winning an astonishing 11 Group 1 races, with eight of those victories coming on ATC tracks, including her triumphs in the Chipping Norton Stakes (2020, 2021).
