Ahead of The 2024 MotoGP Season

The 2023 MotoGP season is over, and it’s time to start looking ahead to the 2024 season. This season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent memory, with a number of new riders and teams on the grid.

New Additions to The Grid

One of the most notable additions to the grid for 2024 is Luca Marini. The Italian will be making his MotoGP debut with the factory Honda team.

Another big name moving teams for 2024 is Johann Zarco. Zarco will be leaving the Pramac Ducati team to join LCR Honda. He will be replaced at Pramac Ducati by Jorge Martin, who moves up from the Gresini Ducati team.

Riders and Teams to Watch

Of course, all eyes will be on Bagnaia to see if he can defend his title in 2024. The Italian will face stiff competition from the likes of Francesco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez, and Jorge Martin.

In terms of teams, Ducati is expected to be the strongest this year. However, Honda, Yamaha, and KTM will all be hoping to challenge for the championship.

Rule Changes for 2024

There are a number of rule changes for the 2024 MotoGP season. One of the most significant changes is the introduction of a new sprint race format.

The sprint race will take place on the Saturday before each MotoGP race. It will be half the length of a normal MotoGP race and will award points to the top nine riders.

Another rule change for 2024 is the introduction of a new tire allocation system. This system will give riders more flexibility in their tire choices.

Pre-season Testing

The 2024 MotoGP season will begin with pre-season testing in February. The first test will take place at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. There will be three more tests before the season starts in Portugal in March.

Predictions for The 2024 Season

It is still too early to say who will win the 2024 MotoGP championship. However, Bagnaia is the clear favourite. Quartararo, Marquez, and Martin are all expected to be in the mix for the title as well.

Ducati is expected to be the strongest team this year, but Honda, Yamaha, and KTM will all be hoping to challenge for the championship.
