Arturo Vidal Insists He Is Happy

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has revealed that he does not want to leave the club this summer, amid rumours of a potential permanent move to Inter Milan or Juventus.

This season the Chilean has fallen out of favour under manager Ernesto Valverde and has made just three starts in the La Liga.

However, speaking to the media, Vidal insisted that he is happy at Camp Nou and he simply wants to compete for first-team football under the manager.

“I’m happy. I came here to be successful and help the team complete it’s objectives of winning trophies. I came here to be an important member of the squad as I have at every other team in my career. I’m not here just to change clubs every time the transfer window opens.”

“If the coach or the team tells me to leave, I’ll gladly do that. I don’t mind. But I believe I still have a lot more to give here and I want to achieve more things. I still need to lift the Champions League.

“I want everything. Barcelona is a team that needs to win the Champions League, win the Copa del Rey and retain the league. I know it’s going to be difficult but we have the players to achieve that. It’s a very hungry squad that wants to win everything.” Vidal added.

Vidal arrived at the Blaugrana in the summer of 2018 and has been a big hit for the team, helping them win the La Liga and the Copa del Rey titles.

The 2019/20 season is slowly coming to an end, and with that, the results of the hard work teams and players have put in is starting to show in their positions on the leader boards.

“The coach has tried out a lot of players and he now knows what the team needs to work. Either way, it’s better that our struggles are at the start of the season rather than at the end of it.” Vidal said.

“Remember how well we started last season and then how it ended. We hope to keep improving and finish the season with three titles.” Vidal added.
